Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
I've come back to pick your colelctive brains.
I took some nice shots with Fuji Velvia 50.
I got them processed in PhotoCare and asked for scans.
The scans I got back are labled "hi-res", but not of them are over 500k.
I was hoping for something closer to a 2MB file at least or 3k x 2k pixels.

Did I not ask for the correct scans?
Or is this the best I can expect?

I was hoping to get some printed to about 8*12 and these scans just wont cut it.

    Thanks

....yep thats the standard they do. I usually get a dedicated film scanner (belonging to a friend of mine) to do the job (although I'm only a noob at it at the mo!!).

the other big issue with velvia is you ideally need to scan as a hdr to get all the tones

a lot of scanners wont capture the range of tones in one pass
