    iv started a new game on football manager 2010 as i got bored of my old game and decided to pick to be irish manager. im trying to persuade stephen ireland out of retirement with no success has anyone acheived in getting him to return?

    Havn't had success myself, but in a game I had in 2014 he helped Ireland to the World Cup final!

    in the 10.2 update you can't unretire him in the editor, he is hardcoded into the game are retired, wrecked my head!

    I just made my manager his favourite person in teh world and asked him to return. And he did.
