img submit button in IE8 dont work

Any reason why <input type="image" Submit buttons work in Chrome/firefox and older IE versions but not IE8 ? easy work around is using background-image property in the input style, but just curious ? :confused:

The short answer is that Microsoft has shunned cross-compatibility and web standards in the hope of retaining market share for its failing browser.

At the same time, there is surely a workable solution for this, and you should look at an example from another page that works to see what you're doing differently.
