Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Searching Computer by File Type

Hello. I spent ages making a poster in Fireworks, and I know I saved it a few times, but I can't remember what I saved it as. I know it was a PNG file. Now all I can find is the jpeg version of it which I can't edit.

Is there anyway to search my entire computer for every .png file that's on it so I could see if any ring a bell?

    Cheers.

*.png in the search box should do it.

If you haven't done much other work in Fireworks then it should be listed under File -- Open Recent or something like that. I don't have Fireworks but a lot of applications have similar options

Create a new document in Fireworks and save that, see where it will put it. If you save this one as a .png, your lost one may show in the save dialog.
Otherwise, open a command prompt (Start-Run-cmd.exe) then
    cd \
    dir *.png /s

this will list all png's on the disk

You guys saved my bacon! I spent about 3 days making that poster and thought I was going to have to start again.

This worked an absolute charm. Learn something new every day!

For some reason nothing was showing in my Open Recent. HAppens sometimes that it just seems to reset.

This was far too complicated for me! Couldn't find the Run button at all!

    Thanks people!
