Was looking for something more along the lines of the traditional Japanese ritual suicide so that would be a no.

    Aurelio on for Benni

and that's why Pacheco should have been on the bench.

    Rafa Out

Did himself in answering that question about his weight earlier.

    Pep is a hero.

    God-awful defending again.

because we're tryin to close the game out presumably. We are winning 4-1. As much as we'd all like to see us turn the screw a bit, up the tempo and start bombarding these, pretty sure half the players and manager has been thinking about the blackburn game for the last half an hour.

    Fact

When we come up against some decent opposition in this competition we will be annihilated.

that does not mean defend on your 6-yard box.

which has happened on 4/5 occasions this half.

    Rubbish.

We can take on the best in Europe and beat them especially at Anfield.

one would hope we will up our game. we love being the underdogs - probably half our problem really.

Fact! Steven Gerrard's goal for Liverpool earlier means he has now scored 33 European goals, breaking Alan Shearer's record of 32 and becoming the highest English goalscorer in European competions. (thanks to the bbc for that one)

Torres will be fit for the next round too.

solid win, if completely uninspiring performance.

Babel looks to be giving a sh*t which is awesome, and i thought he was the one player who consistently looked to inject pace and power into that performance.

Stevie looks so f*cking depressed all the time.

Must have flown out today to meet up with the squad cause he was at an international training camp until last night anyway.

    3-1 to Liverpool

    I thank you.

Job done, professional enough on a rubbish pitch away without Torres playing. I'll take it.

Its not our striking options i'm worried about. Its our "defence" if you want to call it that. A team like Fenerbache would have killed us tonight.

I'm sorry are you just trying to nitpick good result tonight, 2 goals conceded in 8 or so game, Defense was shaky today no question, plenty of reasons for that, Carra came off early enough, then Skrtel, making changes in defence mid game is always a bit hairy, Pending Skrtel's injury we should be looking at a more or less full strenght squad by the next games, which is something none of us have said for a long long time.

as per usual, the best cure for a urinary (urziceni) infection is a dose of Liver(pool) salts.

    *runs*
    *runs like the wind*

Liverpool were very poor again. You get the feeling, at this stage, that they just aren't a very good team.
