Recording Multiple USB Cameras

    hi all, doing a little project here and i want to record multiple USB cameras at once, 6 in total i think.

    looking for recommendations for cheap cameras and good software.

    also hoping for a lag free experience.

    if lag would be a big issue would a Pci dvr card a better route? and if so what cameras would suffice, small but not too small,

    i've tried a software called Active Webcam on trial but it lags compared to the software that came with the camera. its an A4tech camera....
