Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did you notice Bridge stared Terry down.

Terry looked like he was keeping his eyes down.

    Understandable in fairness !

Given is captain for City today. God only knows why he's not for Ireland.

City have really no one who have been long serving at the club in the squad and given would probably be one of the most experienced of them all.

I hope bridge takes a shot from 30 yards and it goes in off Terry for a spectacular o.g. !

    Odds on that - 1 billion/1

    Bridge been booed ,
How could any Man shake hands if they where in his position ,
    Think head 2-1 Chelsea , heart 0-1 or 1-1

My money now would be on bridge throwing an elbow terrys way during a corner

Seems to be that bit of extra bite about the City players so far. Could be some right flare ups today.

To be honest, there's no more than 3000-4000 thousand people booing there. As always, most people have some common sense, and a few dont.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭James Forde

A.Johnson hasn't had the greatest starts

ah yeah sure 3000/4000 people sure thats nothing! 4000 people booing you coz one of their players slept with your missus (this is all gone a bit brookside) happens every day...

Seriously, Chelsea fans aren't exactly renowened for their fair minded intelligence. Dunno why anyone's surprised.

Every team has those type of fans not just Chelsea's and not all of them are like that.

Terry very lucky playing offside with Bellamy through.

I seem to remember Wenger getting worse abuse than that at OT.

Chelsea not looking too sharp so far

They should've showed Huddersfield and Leeds instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,239 ✭✭✭KittyeeTrix

Could we cut the c**p about either set of fans and actually focus on the bloody game. Might be accepted by other fans but most city fans don't suscribe to this silly banter........................
Back to the actual game in hand

Chelsea are not the force I thought they would be. Wish City would get the ball up the pitch a bit more but they seem to be finding it hard to get past the wingers

    OOOhhhhh, that was close!!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,590 ✭✭✭jaykay74

miss drogba. should have scored i think, given his ability.

right this shows you what type of corporation sky is, ignore the handshake look at the news below, and sky are focusing on something like two players shaking hands

To be fair it's the top of the hour and they usually run through the headlines.

I totally understand how bridge may not ever speak to terry again but your personal life is your personal life and your professional life is your professional life, so maybe....i dunno...maybe for the sake of sportsmanship, he should have taken it. he is also a role model to children who are too young enough to understand why he didn't shake his hand don't forget. i have to also say, as an arsenal fan, it bugs me when i see Arsene wenger refusing handshakes.

Take Thierry Henry who instinctively sticks his hand out :D:D

bryanjf what are you on about?

I've not seen SKy News today but I'm imagine they spent a large part of the last 18 hours on the quake and the Terry/Bridge handshake moment was just in passing and then back to the quake/economy/whatever

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Finally. Just what the game needed.

Of course it is. It's sports news. Might not be groundbreaking news but it's still news.
