Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    elp? : )

    Have about 1000 thousand photos I need to share with about 10 friends, I want them to look as good as possible and be easy to share, First I need to crop a few, I'm presuming PS is where to do that, but then how should I share them (flickR) ? Can you do a mass upload to flickR and still have great looking images.
    What's the best way to manage this products, have AMCS4 at my disposal. Used a 500d for the shots.

    tks

    well gonna have to change em to jpeg anyway, if its for viewing on web, longest 1024 or even 800. you'll be an eternity otherwise

    Use Photoshop to create an action that resizes them to approx 1024 on the longest edge. You may have to create two, one for all landscape mode images and the other for portrait mode ones. Save the actions off as Droplets and away you go. :) There other ways to do this in Photoshop, but this is probably your easiest. If you don't understand anything of what I just said then you probably need to get one of the many excellent programs out there. If my memory serves me correctly, I think theres one called Batch Resize Pro that I've used in the past.

    Hope this helps.

    I'd even go less if it's 1000 pics. My site (www.topfoto.ie) that's under constant development can handle this easy but I haven't made it end-user friendly yet :/

    DM have a look in PS under file/automate/batch.

    It'll be worth the effort when you figure it out. If I see a tutorial I'll send you a link.

    1000x15MB = 15GB

    Picasa will give you 20GB online photo storage for $5... if you've a half decent broadband connection then signup for that and just leave it uploading overnight!

    You can download Nikon View NX for FREE and if they are jpegs it will read the images regardless of what camera they were shot on.

    In View NX you can do a bulk resize easily. It's about 80MB to download and will do the job for you.

    @ 5.78Mb/s it works out at about 6 Hours, 11 Minutes to upload 15GB! I am lucky with my upload speed though!

    If you don't have broadband you can send me a few DVDs and I'll upload them from here to your chosen host if you want.

    You get 1Gb free, and can easily store 1000 640x480 or similar size there. I have about 2000 photos up already, dead easy to do, the Picasa uploader compresses them automagically.
