So at the moment things don't look good we have Corluka and palacios down with a bug Defoe has tweaked his hamstring and Bently seems to of picked up a knock against Bolton and we also have Jenas out with a pelvis injury King out. Lennon woodgate and Cudicini long term absentees.

I hope that Corluka and Palacios will be over this bug come Sunday.

    Hopefully we'll have
    Gomes
    Corluka--Dawson--Bassong--Bale
    Bently/Rose--Palacios--Hudd--Modric
    Pav--Gudjohnsen

This is must win if we want to get fourth but to be honest they all are at this stage

    For those travelling

    Travel update - Everton

All services to and from Bishops Stortford/Hertford East/Enfield Town for Sunday's match against Everton will be formed by eight carriages, and will serve White Hart Lane approximately three hours before and two hours after the game.

Just a reminder that we kick-off at 1pm.

    ENGINNERING WORKS

Buses will replace trains services between Cambridge and Bishops Stortford all day.

There will no services between Cheshunt and Hackney Downs via Northumberland Park and Tottenham Hale.

All services will serve White Hart Lane instead.

News from the training facility is not good......."the club have since been forced to close their training ground facilities, with only the pitches used for training, due to the virus that hit earlier in the week"

    http://www.skysports.com/football/match_preview/0,19764,11065_3222268,00.html

Still don't know which players have been hit with the virus, so will be concerned to see who Harry picks for Sunday.

Harry Redknapp will monitor the fitness of strikers Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch as he prepares the squad for Everton on Sunday.

‘JD' left the action at half-time in Wednesday night's FA Cup replay win against Bolton with a tight hamstring while ‘Crouchy' was unavailable for that game because of a foot injury.

"We're not sure on those two at the moment," reported Harry on Friday. "We've got training today and Saturday morning and we'll wait to see how they are then."

David Bentley also departed Wednesday's action early but the midfielder is available for Sunday. "He had a tight groin but he came off only as a precaution," explained Harry. "He will be okay."

Ledley King (thigh), Jermaine Jenas (groin) and Aaron Lennon (groin) remain sidelined. "Aaron has been to see another specialist and we're hoping with rest and strengthening he'll be back as soon as we can get him fit," said Harry.

Vedran Corluka missed Bolton through illness and Wilson Palacios came off in the second half after feeling the effects of a virus. Vedran trained on Friday and it is hoped both will be in the frame for Everton on Sunday.

On the virus, Harry said: "It hasn't disrupted us, we are still training as normal."

At least Charlie's feeling better BAE could fill in in an emergency but his delivery isn't good enough from the right.

Tomorrow's game against Everton really is a must win game now after City beating Chelski 4-2 at the Bridge today. We're back to 5th again, three points behind City, although our goal difference is 5 better than theirs.

i wouldnt worry about benoit playing at right back at all. charlie has no delivery at all and has been the fault for a few goals recently. birmingham, cant think of the other one

    Team
    Gomes
    Corluka--Daws--Bassong--Bale
    Kranjcar--palacios--Hudd---Modric
    Pav--Defoe--

Bently is injured so we're gone very narrow

    Scrappy goal to give away.

Come on Spurs please don't do a repeat of when we threw away the 2 goal lead at goodison.

Modric. So many passes we just dominated their penalty area and Modric rocketed a lob in.

WTF 6 minutes of additional time.

What game are the officials watching?

Nail biting stuff there at the end but relieved we managed to hang on.

Good goal from Modric. Shame we couldn't have repeated the first half form in the second period. Losing Hudd in the second half definitely made a big difference to our midfield.

Still, back up to fourth position, so happy days again. :)

We weren't given much chance to play in the second half they just fouled the player on the break every time and allowed themselves time to organise at the back

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,395 ✭✭✭Hatch99

Big 3 points seeing as city won and liverpool will win. Great goal by Modric.

Since when has Kaboul become a central midfielder, crazy decision by harry, looked lost when he came on. Surely Gudjohnsen would have been a far better replacement.

    Anyway, onwards and upwards....

That was a nerve wrecking finish, thank God we held out.Gareth Bale was class today, going forward and defending.

I think that's what is know as "a good foul" ;)

Everton fan here... First half Everton weren't at the races and Spurs deserved to be in the lead. Second half, Everton's pressure started to show and Spurs couldn't get on the ball. If Everton had shown up in the first half it would have been a different result i feel.. Donavon had such a good chance to get the draw... The lisbon game definitely showed on the everton legs alright..

If Everton realised it was a 1pm ko, we could have got at least a draw. cant argue on the result as we were non existent in the first half
