Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just vrt'd a car this week and the revenue office kept the V5 document.

I have always got the V5 back from them before,, new rules or did she forget to hand it back ?

Handy to have when the car is out of warranty here and it's a year left across the border.

When I VRT'd mine 2 years ago I didn't get it back, as far as I know you don't get it back anymore, not sure when they last gave them back. Your warranty will be on the VIN number and not the registration number so shouldn't cause any problem, your car has left the UK fleet so the form is of no use.

    Ok, thanks.

Normally I vrt two cars a year and always have got the v5 back so thought they have changed it, last car i did was in august.

Your right the VIN number is what they go after I guess but as I have always got the v5 back I thought something was changed.

Last time I imported I didn't get to keep the v5. I'm importing in a week so I'll let you know if they keep it!

They let you keep it if its registered as a classic.

I have my V5 which I imported last may.

I've never been given back the V5 (I thought they sent it back to the DVLA), but i've always been given a photocopy.

Funny though, the last 4 times I kept the V5 or maybe was it that I just grabbed it when they were busy cashing the check..
    Thanks for answers !
