It would probably be a good idea to go somewhere that has a late bar so we don't all end up going separate ways once it hits half 12.
    .

Locations - Dublin: Capitol Bar, Fibbers, Dicey Rileys, Bojangles, some random pub in town.

    April 10.

Capitol were very good to us at the last AH beers in December and the manager contacted the Community Managers to extend an open invitation any time we wanted to return

Try Saturdays. More people are free on Saturdays.

The only thing about Capitol is it's expensive.

Yeah Ron Blacks is a lovely bar but it gets very busy. I know they've an area down the back, I wonder if you can reserve it for free? Doubtful though, it's pretty popular. It'd just the type of bar that would be hard to get a space together for a biggish group of people.

Yeah, that's a bad idea because it caters for a particular scene. Neutral ground would be better.

One place that I would recommend is Howl at the Moon just off Nassau St.

It is also one of Capital Bars, so might be able to book it through the same people as last time.

The place has nooks and crannys all over the club.

Must be seven different Bars on the three floors and I'd say there must be four or five dance floors.

Just had a look at the Facebook page and there is some people on it asking about booking a party of 50 in and HATM have replied with booking details.

I thought Howl At The Moon closed down years ago??
Used to go there for work nights out a few years back-was good craic alright.
Might have trouble finding each other though if the place is too big?

    That's correct, scratch that idea .. :o

I new Alchemy (beside Buskers) is over 20s.

They do offer drink specials and free entry for bookings though.

Bonito must be grounded for not doing his homework, otherwise he'd be on here with his ideas :)

Sure if we're going to somewhere where he's old enough to get in, we'll end up in McDonalds:pac:

    Yes I am.

I just wanna go to a pub with people I've never met off of the internet and get drunk at a reasonable price while talking about said website. IS THAT SO WEIRD????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 629 ✭✭✭lizardfudge

Yeah that would definitely be a good option. It's a good location, and surprised at how cheap the drinks are for that part of town! If you get a chance to pop in and suss, that'd be cool :)

And May 11th in BIG BOLD So I can get more presents for my Birthday! :D

    Same Birthday... WOOO!

Anyway, I have been to Alchemy twice in the last 2 weeks, it has a stripper pole if that sways anybody. I do think you could swing free entry for a large group but it doesn't open til 11 and drinks are the typical €5.50 a pint. It's a great spot though and pre drinks in the pub beside it, can't remember the name, could work but you won't find cheap drink in Temple Bar.
