Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys, a good few Boards.ie heads were interviewed in this and involved in various stages, so may as well stick up the links for the trailers etc

We're releasing ten shorts in the run up to the actual launch on March 6th you can read about that over at http://www.dctv.ie/main/?p=1687

Details of the launch itself are at http://www.dctv.ie/main/?p=1671

We don't have the same access to promotions, marketing etc and so on as other stations or production houses - so we rely on you guys, the people whos issues we cover in our work to spread the word for us. So please share this stuff across your social networks etc!

Keep checking back for more updates and if you are interested in organising a screening in your area - get in touch!
On the 6th March 2010 DUBLIN COMMUNITY TV is launching its latest TV series – The Pedal Project, consisting of 3 hours of material filmed in Dublin, London and Amsterdam. A fast paced, visually and musically polished piece looking at cycling culture and how to create cycling friendly cities the series will be simultaneously broadcast on television and released on the internet.
From the street level view of ‘One Less Car’, to the Dublin city cycling officer going to Amsterdam and London to see what they’re doing in ‘Three Cycling Cities’ to the thinking that is going into making Dublin a ‘Two Wheeled City’ DCTV’s innovative new series on cycling is must viewing for anybody interested in how our city and transport systems function. It’s a chance to see what the targets about cycling and transport mean and what the current thinking is in our local authorities, in our universities and amongst the residents of Dublin.

Sounds interesting. Is DCTV run by the old NearFM crowd?

You should contact www.dublincycling.com and www.thebike.ie as well.

Nope, but we do have good relations with Near as fellow community broadcasters, they have a TV wing now and we'd put out a lot of their content etc. Check our site for more on the station.

    http://dctv.ie

They've made a good bit of content for us, as you can see below.

I thought maybe they had progressed from radio to TV as very similar subject matter. Great to see another Dublin TV channel.

Caught a bit of the Pedal Project, interesting talk although the sound was a bit all over the shop :) Like to see more of this type of show. Good work.

The full series is now uploaded to Vimeo and there are also torrents available through all those nice media distribution sites

http://vimeo.com/9999785 is a vimeo version of one of the docs - fairly hi res so check the site for other versions and other episodes.

The torrented versions include DVD ISO's, as well as an AVI pack which includes the studio discussion programme with Ciaran Fallon, Andrew Montague and various others involved in campaigns / lobbying.

Enjoy and let us know what you think
