Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Prices for lens etc for buying into a system?

    Hi,
    is it possible to give a rough cost of how much lens etc (2nd hand) fir each system/brand would cost? As in a nifty 50, zoom, macro etc.

    I'm trying to estimate how much it'd cost me in short/medium trem beyond the cost of body.
    Or maybe another way to phrase my question-
    I know some other brand lens work with Sony, is this the case with any other brands?
    Which brands have a LOT less 2nd lens than other brands?
    which brands don't have IS in the body? Are their lens mote expensive then?

    Yeah that can be done. Take a look at some online places that sell second hand gear (adverts.ie), make a list of the camera and lenses you are interested in from each brand, then write down the prices. There's your rough cost. Easy.

    You can get them cheaper though, i bought a sigma 10-20mm for 240 on adverts and a 50mm nikon for i think about 80 euro. I think there is more canon lenses for sale in ireland, or it seems at way to me but its much of a muchness really. Also the Sigma/tokina/tamron lenses are generally made for nikon and canon aswell as some others.
