Hi, I'm off to Singapore for a few weeks holiday and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good dive school. I already have my PADI AOW so at most would need a refresher course, but would like to do a bit of open water diving. Does anyone have any experience of the schools there and can you recommend one?

    Thanks.:)

There's no where in Singapore that I know of. The waters around it are very busy with shipping and industrialised. If you head into Malaysia and Paulo Tioman there is some good diving with nice reefs. It's also relavtively cheap to dive there. It's a few hours on a bus from Singapore.

I can't recommend any but I am heading there myself in a couple of months and will also be getting some diving in.

Some places I have been checking out that are based in the city:

Don't know if its too late or not for you but myself and my girlfriend did plenty of diving in Sibu Island with Hi-Tide Divers, www.hi-tidedivers.com...

I may be slightly biased as my brother has since started working with this crowd but at the time he was just fun-diving as well. Very laid-back set up and are certified in both PADI and SSI. The island itself is very relaxing.

It is about 3 hours away from Singapore but as the lads before said there's no where in Singapore itself for diving.

This crowd do refresher courses and other courses in pools in Singapore if you wanted to get back into it before heading out to the reefs.

Anyway if you need any other information just ask or check out the link to their website.
