Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Looking forward to this.

    From BBC
Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor will be in the squad for Celtic's visit to Ibrox on Sunday.
McGregor has recovered from injuries sustained in a night out incident, while midfielder Lee McCulloch is expected to shake off a knock.
Celtic striker Robbie Keane has not trained all week and will be assessed before the lunchtime kick-off.
Aiden McGeady and Darren O'Dea return from suspension, while Glenn Loovens also faces a late fitness test.
Defender Edson Braafheid did not train on Friday due to a calf injury and central defender Jos Hooiveld is still out with a hamstring injury.
If Loovens fails to recover from a similar problem, teenagers Thomas Rogne and Josh Thompson will be considered for a central defensive place.

Rangers (from): McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Beasley, Lafferty, Davis, Thomson, McCulloch, Miller, Boyd, Novo, Edu, Little, Wilson, Wylde, Alexander.

Celtic (from): Boruc, Braafheid, Naylor, Loovens, O'Dea, Hinkel, Rogne, Thompson, Scott Brown, N'Guemo, McGeady, Ki, Kamara, Zhi, Fortune, Samaras, Keane, Wilson, Rasmussen, Crosas, Zaluska.

You can get 45/1 on that ;)

Well Celtic really have nothing to lose at this stage, I'm hoping for a Celtic victory to keep things interesting but realistically I imagine a draw is about as good as they will get. My guess is 2-2.

Celtic must win or Rangers have the title wrapped up. Goal fest with a few reds. 2-2.

Trust me I'm not trolling! :)

But has there ever been any time when there has been less interest in old firm games.

In the past these were massive encounters between two good sides.

But now it seems that these teams play players who can't make it down south or in other European leagues.

    Like Robbie....

No expert on SPL, but I'm still gonna say that Celtic would want to be good to win, just having seen a few snippets of Scottish football this season. Rangers seem to be the best of a bad bunch in Scotland this season. 2-1 Rangers.

Bougherra already walking a tightrope, already has a yellow and given away a couple of free kicks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    Promising free kick for Celtic.

the ref is having a very good game so far imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,307 ✭✭✭cruiserweight

That was lucky (but correct), looks like the ref did not blow his whistle for the free until the ball hit the back of the net

Aye he's controlled it well indeed.

I'm fully expecting Rangers to win this. 2-0 for me.

Well half time comments from me:

    - MAF needs to come off early 2nd half, stick Ras on.
    - Hinkel and Boruc both excellent so far.
    - Brown - sorry, doesn't offer much for me. ALWAYS giving the ball away.
    - Keane doing ok, great shot and great save from McGregor in fairness.
    - Braafheid looks a bit ropey, pity it was him rather than Rogne that went off.
    - Boyd and Miller can be found too easily from long punts - centre backs need to get their act together as there'll be plenty more of that 2nd half.

C'mon Celtic, need a win here.

O'Dea needed to make that tackle, second time that a little ball played into Boyd around the six yard box has caused problems

Jesus, Celtic are such a poor side bar two or three players. Fortuné is dreadful. Rangers to settle for a 0-0 or win 1-0.

Brown off. Lafferty is a ****.

The red seemed a bit harsh.

A booking each would've been fair.

Wow. Celtic werent half wrong about the standard of referees in Scotland!

    BS call.

yellow card a piece was the correct course of action there I feel.

The referee was straight over with his red card too, what did he think he saw?? shocking decision.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,010 ✭✭✭besty

Extremely harsh on Brown there. He was foolish to involve himself, but it's serious squeaky bum time now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,706 ✭✭✭premierstone

A fcukin joke of a decision, lafferty is a disgrace aswell.

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 10,871 Mod ✭✭✭✭PauloMN

Boughera has been fouling persistently all match and is still on the pitch. That ref is a ****ing disgrace. Typical though, almost expected.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,307 ✭✭✭cruiserweight

Not quite as bad as this, but made the most of it, both should have gotten yellows

Did Lafferty dive in the incident with Brown?

What are Celtic doing to cope with going man down, have only found a stream now

Win, lose or draw, if it's nothing else, this match is total vindication for what Celtic have been saying about Scot refs. Proof right in front of everyones' eyes.

And it's a pity because I actually thought the ref was actually doing a good job up until that incident.

Think they should bring in a neutral ref in future. British refs obviously side with their own.
