    Guess what I found :pac:

I am delighted with how this turned out. It took a lot of planning and engineering but finally at just the right time we managed to pull it off.

everyone's said most of it already so i'll keep it short:

Biggest props in the world to everyone who went, but especially to the Northern lads who showed that they can hang with Europe's best all day long. Cobelcog especially was on dominating form for almost the entire trip, and I'm pretty sure they're gonna be talking about "Irish Cammy" for a while.

Was great to meet the UK guys, they're all bang on too. Props to chunkis for spending basically all weekend hyping our guys up to the UK scene.

    SF4 finals were ridiculous

Kilivan almost going psycho and starting on chunkis on the last night was also ridiculous but in a slightly different way

Props to blag for beating the guy who's meant to be France's best Bison in a mirror on the viewlix cab!

Okay, time for my thoughts on the weekend.

Completely awesome from start to finish.

Myself and Danny in 2s actually had the distinction of being the only team to finish both third AND fourth in our group as they thought we were Team Discovery and they disqualified Channel (shanell) for not showing up!

We played Yamazaki (top French Ryu) and Lord DVD (really good Honda) and both put in decent performances against them, but ultimately lost. Lord DVD was wearing his sponsored team jacket which I was completely oblivious to until everyone mentioned it afterwards.

In the solo tournament I had a very tough group which included Coungster and we had an epic Honda mirror match. (he described my Honda as sick) The level in our group was really high though and neither Honda players made it through. An Akuma (who went on to knock out Cobelcog later) and a Boxer got through.

I made a silly mistake which cost me the match against the Boxer player, but overall I was satisfied with my performance against such high opposition, even if I didn't get many wins.

There was a really bad Ken player in our group who used PS2 pad and a converter, but didn't have a wired 360 controller to authenticate it and didn't have a clue how to set it up.

He pissed Coungster off royally for taking so long to set it up and then after doing a button check and starting the match proper he paused mid-match because his buttons were not set up correctly!

Needless to say, he didn't take a round off anyone.

Very happy that we got to play some Garou in our room and both Barry and Ryan instantly decided it was their favourite fighting game.

Also to be noted, we have confirmation that Ry prefers Butt over Dong!

Drinking with Dieminion and Starnab on the last night was cool. Both really nice guys and Dieminion is a PRO at sleeping!

Massive props to Tin who OCV'd six teams, including Ryan Harts' on his way to placing third in 3S.

    He truly is a Tinja!

Also massive thanks to the NI guys who were top notch hosts all weekend, even after getting several complaints.

Such a cool bunch of guys.

All the UK guys are bang on and I can't wait to get over there for SVB, but there's a little matter of Stunfest first.....

Tin OCV'd Ryan Hart's and FIVE OTHER TEAMS? Goddamn son!

Hey, so does this mean if I bring my laptop, people will play some Garou with me? Sweet, I haven't played in ages :)

He's mentioned in a couple of comments on this post:

That's the first I've heard about him double-perfecting Desora. Is the truth being stretched here, or what?

That photo is the funniest thing I've seen today

Does Doom seem to be starring in a Hip-Hop video, completely on his own which is taking place just out of shot to the left, to anyone else?

Oh my god people  You have got to watch this video and turn on youtubes new transcription service (it uses voice recognition to try to give english subtitles!!!)

    Its hilarious :D

    Example:
Doom: (chunkis and co are probably off eating) fish and chips or something right now, whereas we're eating at the eh..La Palmeraie

Translation: officials insist in writing that this isn't tough parker groceries and at the end feel a lot primary

No computer program can translate irish accents!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,748 ✭✭✭Cunny-Funt

Lets have a vote in the fall of this year?????????

Actually a lot of the translations seem incredibly political, - Israel -nationalist movements - they're going to get hurt - hundreds of thousands at risk?

    WTF?

    **edit** 2

Still watching, I'm starting to think this was programed using american news broadcasts or something , all the lines and phrases are similar to something you'd hear on US News show, politics , economics sports and so on.
