Polytunnel hotspot tape. Necessary?

New to this. Should I use the hotspot tape all over the tubing? I have used pipe insulation on joints and any potential sharp spots. Thanks

IMO I'd say it's essential. Those pipes really heat up in the summer. Also makes it very easy to pull the polythene over the bars.

It gets v hot in there during the summer ,
the bars are so hot you couldnt keep your hand on them..

Just wondering if you put pipe insulation on all the pipes would this do instead of the hotspot tape??
