We had an adjudication meeting with our old landlord and on the day
we agreed to a settlement of just over 2 grand but were told we had to wait for the determination order, then the landlord pays. 7 months later we received the order. He was to pay within 3 days of receipt of the order and had 21 days to appeal. Well the 21 days are up and he didn't lodge an appeal. We were told that we might have to get an enforcement order. Does anyone know what this is and how exactly they enforce it? Also does anyone know the time frames involved in all this?

I suspect it means going to the District Court and getting a summary judgement - all the details have been worked out by the PRTB already.

However, talk to the PRTB and explain the situation. Do you have a solicitor?

Thanks guys, no we don't have a solicitor really can't afford one. We stupidly hoped this would be resolved hassle free seen as he apologised and settled on the sum. Guess it's back on to the PRTB. Just wish the whole process would be quicker!
