    200kg@70? That's a 2.85BW squat. Seriously impressive.

I will post a video soon. I hope to match VIS. I love his squats.

Ok well the type of squats you're doing and the one's VIS are doing are about as same as saying that fat chick L scored last weekend is the same as Cheryl Cole.

the speed off the floor on those pulls was incredible. If you're rested up and back to 100% for the worlds, you should definitely have a good shot at 300

First I was going back to check he was pulling what I thought he pulling, then I was playing it back to check and see the vid was playing at normal speed, haha.
Best of luck, hope you're getting a vid of the 300.

Best of luck for your upcoming comp!

Similar question to that which I asked podge in his log:

    - do you compete raw or equipped?

Just a quick post I'm on the iPhone still down in castleblaney. Just wanted to fi ll everyone in on my result.
I won the open and junior 90kg class, I think there were circa 14 in the class. I finished on 232.5 - 120 - 285 - I was happy with the outcome but disappointed with my numbers. I'll post videos and synopsis tomorrow.

    Well done Anthony :D

I wouldn't be too dissappointed with the numbers. I presume you are talking about the bench and DL, but you have to remember it's a different story after a few heavy squats...

Well, it's about time to fill in the blanks from the weekend and update this log.Arrived in Castleblaney on Friday morning, was up all that night as there was a live band in the hotel, so needless to say, i got little sleep!

Weigh in was 7am on Saturday morning, only managed to weigh in at 86.6kg (after breakfast)Squat warm up went well, everything was very comfortable, i was confident going on to the platform.

Opened at 210kg; very comfortable, so i decided to go to 225kg. The 225kg was equally as comfortable. The third attempt at 232.5 was even easier than the second.
I was offered a fourth attempt to break my previous world record set in the third but decided against, as my wrist and arms were severely painful and required immediate icing after the third attempt. On reflection i should have attempted 240kg on the fourth attempt.

The bench "rest between the squat and deadlift :P"
Warming up for this my back was badly cramping up, during warm up i foam rolled, applied winter green which did little to alleviate the pain.

I opened up at 110kg, it felt a little uncomfortable, but the weight was easy.
The 120kg went up handy enough, so i went 125 which i was disappointed not to lock out.

On to more foam rolling pre warm ups for the deads. The warm up didn't go well, i didn't feel comfortable, but i knew my opening lift of 270kg wouldn't be a problem, and flew up.
The 285kg went up comfortable enough, maybe a little slow at lockout. The morning of the comp the plan was to go 300kg on the third attempt, but at this stage, my back was really sore and the general tiredness of the day was catching up on me, so i decided on 295kg.
I didn't fell comfortable on the set-up but it moved pretty fast of the floor, but i just couldn't manage to lock it out. (Can't describe how disappointed i am with that)

As i said above, i was happy with the outcome and the records i broke, but was disappointed with my performance and total on the day.

The competition was run very well, i enjoyed the day and it was good to catch up with a few of the boards members including Liam and of course Paul who competed on the day.
