pre-school/primary teaching

    I have been thinking for a while about getting into primary school teaching. I am 30 and got a c3 in honours irish. since that was 12 years ago will I have to do it again?
    Also, I cant afford to give up my job and do this full time so is there a course i can do part time?

    No, you should be fine.

    Hibernia College do an online course to become a primary teacher. You will need to make yourself available for teaching practice though.

    Also, it is a postgrad course, you will need an undergraduate degree to apply.

    For pre-school you can do a fetal level 5 course in childcare part time.

    I am thinking of applying for the hibernia course but am worried that I will not be able to get a job once finished? It does cost a lot of money so would feel very for lack of a better word insecure about doing it?
