Gateway PCs

Got a piece of retro coolness dropped into work on Friday. Someone was buying a new monitor and brought in the old one for disposal. It was a 21" Gateway Vivitron 1100 CRT, fecking huge the thing is! But the best bit was that it was still in the original cow spotted box. The UPS delivery note on the top of the box states 04/12/1997.

I have about 2 Gateway 2000 machines and monitors in the attic, each I think still in the original boxes.

I spent over £2000 on one of these in 1996 two years later the MB went up in smoke, wasn't covered.

Bought one back in April 1999. Eventually ended up having to replace the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, CD drive, hardrive and OS, but the thing itself is still running to this day down in my shed. So full marks to Gateway.
