One could be breaking the law if one did.
ALL family law cases are held "in camera" and are not for media exposure in regards to names and/or anything that might lead to identification.
This is done only for the best interests of the children alone too.

So the judge awarded him the house that she had paid part of the mortgage on and then refused to give her access to her children because she had no house or money

That doesn't make any sense.

The very outside possibility here is that the woman is bipolar with severe narcissism. I've met a couple of these people, even have one in my extended family.

How is second hand from the actual person who is going through it?


I dont know her state of health,But wouldnt she even then be given more access to the kids supervised?
I have seen her with her kids and healthy happy out going kids they are.She had them in all kinds of sports and she brought them.Never once saw him bring them to their karate matches nor did he turn up to even watch.But he has the kids?

Maybe I am wrong but all I know is one of my best friends went through a similar case and it took him YEARS to get his child off his alcoholic, drug abusing ex. And even then she still has the right to challenge this every few months at huge cost to him (she of course gets free legal aid) and was told off by the judge last time as she has never provided any samples to prove she is clean. The fear is if she gets even one period free or finds herself a 'friendly' tester she will by rights have the child back even though my mate has proven to be the better parent in a loving household. Its not fair but this is how the law works. I understand its slightly different in this case as they were not married but it upsets me seeing him go through this routine every few months and she only does it for spite knowing she will never be clean unless she actually tries.

One of my friends has a similar story to tell. No drug abuse in the mother in his example, but serious mentalism. Diagnosed too and a succession of judges ignored warning signs and big red flags. While as you say there are always more sides to things of this nature, what swung it for me in his favour is her friends backed him as time went on(Indeed I was her mate first. not any more). Some of whom didnt even particularly like the guy. He still ended up with a crappy outcome, but at least more access.

I can even think of men in crappy marriages(one abusive) who wont leave, because they know they will lose everything and end up being part time dads. They adore their kids, but can barely tolerate their wives.

If it is true then as Stark says welcome to manworld. The reason you're taking some flak is because any man who has had any contact with divorce in this country is well aware of the result in the majority of contested cases.

I know thats what i said to her.She said it went all wrong because she had no lawyer and they went ahead with the case because she would be waiting a year for one.I am just telling how i was told.

Not having enough money would not make a judge limited a mother's access to one hour a week.
