    Has anyone been?

    It's on Parnell Square East, just as you are about to meet O'Connell Street from the north side.
    I've only noticed it this past week.
    I don't know whether it is a pub or not but the sign is at ground floor level and there is a stairs down akin to Cheers.

    Sign is similar to...

    I've noticed that alright, it's there just where the busses always change drivers. Odd place for a pub..

    Isn't it a hotel bar and not a pub?

    Could be someone has bought the franchise for a cheers bar in Dublin?! There's a few of them around the world,was in one in Malaga last year. From what i can gather they're identikit pubs,similar layout,same fixtures and fittings etc.

    Yes, that's how I noticed. They told us we'd have to wait a while for a driver, I bailed and noticed the sign.

    its the basement of Top Of The Town, which used to be the IERNE ballroom i think. Which means its a chicken-in-a-basket, country 'n' horsesh*te joint. :)

    I seen this as well,I had a look down and the steps would not be ideal with a few beers taken.

    Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
    Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

    Wouldn't you like to get away?

    Sometimes you want to go

    Where everybody knows your name,
    and they're always glad you came.
    You wanna be where you can see,
    our troubles are all the same
    You wanna be where everybody knows
    Your name.

    You wanna go where people know,
    people are all the same,
    You wanna go where everybody knows
    your name.

    Full Lyrics never actually aired

    Making your way in the world today
    Takes everything you've got;
    Taking a break from all your worries
    Sure would help a lot.
    Wouldn't you like to get away?

    All those night when you've got no lights,
    The check is in the mail;
    And your little angel
    Hung the cat up by it's tail;
    And your third fiance didn't show;

    Sometimes you want to go
    Where everybody knows your name,
    And they're always glad you came;
    You want to be where you can see,
    Our troubles are all the same;
    You want to be where everybody knows your name.

    Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
    The morning's looking bright;
    And your shrink ran off to Europe,
    And didn't even write;
    And your husband wants to be a girl;

    Be glad there's one place in the world
    Where everybody knows your name,
    And they're always glad you came;
    You want to go where people know,
    People are all the same;
    You want to go where everybody knows your name.

    Where everybody knows your name,
    And they're always glad you came;
    Where everybody knows your name,
    And they're always glad you came...
