Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, very disappointing. I'd love to see the figures but Croker would have almost certainly been full for this one so, unless they actually would have made a loss or unless the Brazilians didn't want to come to Dublin, I really wish they had staged the game at home.

It is a home game for Brazil, Ireland are not the home team as far as I know for this fixture

2 years ago it was in Croker, I was there and there was a good crowd, good atmosphere as well!

The match isnt in Croker because the Gaa refused to deal directly with the crowd that promotes Brazil. The company then took the game to the Emirates.

The RTE commentary just mentioned that the crowd is still coming in, Ireland doing well enough so far

I doubt we are in a position to refuse Eircom's money for said or to get a better deal elsewhere.

I'd say Brazil could step it up a bit if they wanted to, but bright start by Ireland all the same.

But why wouldn't they want to?? It's their last friendly before WC, so last chance to get their place on the team for 1st game. I'd say they are well up for it and trying hard.

We are playing well, not letting them into it yet bar that one half chance blocked there.

Ireland are high up the pitch, Doyle and Duff putting them under pressure at the back

    Could be danger here

Still a friendly,we seem much more up for this match, if this was a competitive match it would be a different Brazil imo.
