    doesnt work that easily. the only time weve had more than 11 for a non monday/tuesday game was the one on tv. in general, friday, sat, sundays are not good days. lads play soccer, lads go home or lads are out on the piss...

    saturdays are the worst possible day for it, weve tried before. likewise, expecting 22 lads to turn up for an 11 v 11. the nucleas of the squad is there, only 4 or 5 new lads are needed and there doesnt look like being more at the moment.

    way to shoot down the newbie lads!

    They're good suggestions mrDerek, but the lads are spot on - we've tried several times but the numbers just don't materialise as well as we'd think on a weekend (a lot of the lads are down the country at the weekend, something to do with maintaining a claim on the family land I believe :D).

    A Boardeaux vs. Others friendly on a Tuesday would be more doable than a weekend match and would work well for trials, but it's still not clear we'd get the numbers. So, arranging friendlies against other teams is probably the best bet.

    I can play this coming Monday, but am away from Tuesday for the rest of the week.
