    Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to start one of these two degrees this year...

I know i want to study the human body, but i'm not sure whether Trinity or UCD is better. Are there any students of these courses out there who could let me know any good/bad aspects of the course?

    thanks a million!

There was a thread started on Human Health & Disease Science in the TCD forum recently:

Hope that's of some help to you.
I don't do either of the courses, but I was talking to someone doing Human Health & Disease Science recently and it actually sounds pretty good, their modules are a bit all over the place but they seem to get to dabble into everything.
    It's known as a bit of a Medicine-reject course.

It sounds almost identical to the Molecular Medicine degree that they started in Trinners two years ago in that the modules were all over the place at first becuase it was so new. Some of my friends did it (You did Natural Sciences and then specialised in third year so it was a new specialism on offer that year). They pretty much studied medicine in some respects and it's no surprise that out of the 10 people in the class about half are now in grad medicine!!

Yeah, i'm going to think about GEM if i don't get medicine this year, so being in a course with plenty of like-minded people would definitely help!
