    Hi All,

    Still lurking around here!!

Very heavy rain shower started @ 10.50 or so, then hail, then snow - YES snow, then hail and now back to rain again. Very gusty winds - 40-50mph at least!!

Who said that the "snow" is over for the year!! :D I'm in Enniskillen BTW.

I've an idea for later-on in the year, and see what others think.

Would it be possible to set-up a "Thunderstorm Watch" thread later on when our "storm season" comes into play - (and hopefully it will this year!) so members here can track where potential storms are likely to develop and see what the out-come is. For example if someone in Dublin Reports seeing thunder/lightning then other members can look up rain radars (such as Rain Today) and view the storm to see which direction it's heading - and weather they're in line for anything!!:D

Just a thought, what do you all think - or am i mad!?

There used to be a thunderstorm potential thread on here. It has disappererd due to lack of them. Hopefully this season will be better. Try Danno's stormvue detector for spotting as well as sat24.

Big hail has just arrived here. 11c now.

8.6c with WNW winds here today of 20 - 40km, weather went nuts for a while there a few minutes ago, from 12:03 to 12:10 winds shot up to 74km and a heavy hail shower with it, now all is quiet.

Dribs & drabs of manky, pointless light rain. A proper spell of rain would not go amiss at all. Temp on 7.2c with an 8 mph mean wind speed from an ESE direction. Pressure falling at 995.5 mb currently.

Very eerie and calm evening. High cloud to the north and east has turned pink to red. The same sort of skies that would bode a powerful Biscay storm if it was summer! 9.6c. 992.2mb and steady within a rising trend.

bits of rain here. i assume the heavier stuff will arrive in a few hours. it's amazing what a few days rain does, as the yellow colour is nearly all gone from the grass now
