help with passport and travelling

travelling to paris next tuesday and my passport up next july....does your passport have to be in date a certain length of time like spain a passport has to be in date for six months does this apply to france

"European national passports ... are valid for France until the expiry date. Check you will leave the territory before that date."

"About the validity of your passport when traveling to France:

Except for nationalities exempt from requesting a short stay visa, foreigners traveling to France should make sure that their passport is valid at least three (3) months beyond the expected end of their trip.

If your nationality appears on that list," (Ireland is on the list) "it means that you can stay in France until the expiry date of your passport as long as you do not engage in any activity other than tourism or business and do not exceed the number of days allowed to stay in the country without a visa."
