Basically the grout has come out from around a tile and has caused a minor leak underneath the shower tray. Just wondering is it better to just re-grout or to use a white silicon in this situation??

If there is movement and it sounds like there is. Silicone is the best way to go. Make sure its a sanitary silicone.

Thanks joey but theres been a update just checked exactly where the leak was coming from by spraying where the tile meets the tray and intending to work up, but it seems that the leak is where the tile meets the tray, the tray is in position over 20 years so i dont know what seal there is
but it was fine until the mother STEAM CLEANED the tray and gave the seal at the edge a fierce goin over with the steam earlier today so im thinking maybe that good silicone is it tech 7 or 9 around the edge where tile meets tray and using a white sanitary silicone on where the grout is missing.

Its up to you I cant see it. The correct thing to do would be to strip out the old silicone and put new silicone in.

Why did she steam clean the tray? Its a bit overkill and too much watching the shopping channel:)
