Meteor burning out above Dun Laoghaire last night, anyone see it?

Around half 8 last night I was heading up from the People's Park in Dun Laoghaire to the shopping centre, and in the sky down towards Sandycove Beach, in the general direction of the Martello Tower, there was this big bright burning thing in the sky, I thought it was a plane at first but then after minute or two I realized…

Around half 8 last night I was heading up from the People's Park in Dun Laoghaire to the shopping centre, and in the sky down towards Sandycove Beach, in the general direction of the Martello Tower, there was this big bright burning thing in the sky, I thought it was a plane at first but then after minute or two I realized that it was much too high to be a plane and that it was flying completely erratically as well. After a few minutes it just disappeared, seemed to burn out.

I'm assuming it was a meteor or something. Did anyone else see it or hear anything about it?
