Fix a Mid-Build Mortgage???

    Hi Guys,

    About mid build on our house and hope to be moving in in Sept., and should have fully utilised the mortgage by then.

    While we will be moving in, we will have an awhful lot still to do, and are thinking about finiances.

    Currently we are assuming X amount on Mortgage repayments in order to estimate savings once we get in, and this will allow us to spend so much per month on finishes.

    however, a thought came to mind about fixing the mortgage which could guarntee the repayment amount for 3-5 yrs, and given the current economic conditions this might not be a bad idea. Then this would allow us to have a set mortgage and set savings in order to plan on finishes for the house. . .


    Opinions/thoughts/pros/cons all welcome. . .
