    Hello,

If I book an Irish Rail ticket online, am I just given an order number or do I need to print out the ticket?

If I need to print the ticket, do I access the page via an e-mail from Irish Rail and can I forward that e-mail to another person to print it?

    Cheers

You just need the booking number given at the end of the transaction to get the tickets. At the large stations you can retrieve the tickets from self-service machines by putting in the booking number or swiping the card used for payment, or at all (and smaller) stations, present the booking number at the booking office (you may be asked for the card used to buy the tickets - I never have been).

    Thank you.

Oh, and almost forgot, if you're booking more then 5 days in advance, you can have the tickets posted to you.
