Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

they seem to be good if you have a lot of dung for spreading otherwise the side slinger one would do as they are cheaper to buy.

They're the only job for spreading any amount of dung alright, a hell of a lot faster than a side slinger. Second hand ones are a risky business, by their very nature they're a machine that gets dogs abuse at the best of times. If you're not going for a new one I'd strongly recommend looking for one reconditioned by a dealer. A K2 would be the one to look out for, the manufacturers themselves often have reconditioned ones for sale. The more modern Richard Western and Bunning aren't too bad, the older ones gave lots of trouble. Expect to pay close to €15000 for a worthwhile second hand one.

Atkins had a couple of Marshall and Bunnings ones in stock which they used to hire out on a per day basis.
I'm not sure if they still hire them though.

Talking to a contractor a while back and they went through several makes, he said the hi-spec is defiantly the best to spread evenly... but €€€€€€€€€€€€€€

Keenans can be got cheap in comparison to rear discharge, they can handle slop, never had any problems with it and no movable floor to break when a load in in it.
