Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just gonna point out that at 16 Drogba was a right back.

So really, isn't he the new Ashley Cole (who was a striker at 16!).

It is very difficult to predict at 16 who will be a star. At 17 people were saying that Le Tallec was better than Ronaldo or Torres. For a multitude of reasons, that didn't turn out to be true. Having the talent is one thing, using it consistently over the years is another. Many a 16 or 17 year old has emerged in a blaze of glory only to fade into obscurity.

I've personally never believed Arjen Robben was under 40.

Same as a few others here I only watched the first 2 minutes and while he's a big lad for his age there's not much to see from the clip other than shots of him on the bench etc. His stats do impress but then again so did Freddy Adu's and lets not forget this is the Belgium league - Rooney was impressing in the Premiership at that age.

Also, the last 2 pages of this thread have been awful - this is a soccer forum, if you don't like someone's post report it rather than taking up half the thread arguing semantics and the merits of a post.
