Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has there been much interest in the Mayo open in the way of pre-registrations as of yet?

Looks like I won't be able to make it up until right on the start time. I could pre-reg if there is any chance it will be full.

    Let me know.

Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer. I've asked three times in this thread and got no reply.

Results are up on the link Neil gave above.

Great tourney, and thanks to everyone involved.

Any chance of getting that money that I gave you transferred to Ladbrooks before the Weekend neil. ? (I was the winner).

I played the €65 freezeout on the Sunday. Surprisingly small turnout, only 38 iirc. Well run tourney, good dealers etc but there was no food at the break. Absolutely nothing. For a €15 reg fee this is inexcusable. Would it be too much for the hotel to throw on a few chips, sausages etc???? Big Slick???

Sorry but we provide the tournament at a loss at €15 and we dont make a single penny from this .. The €15 is to cover the dealers and Set up costs .. If we are to provide for it has to be €20

Its a no win situation for us . When we provide food players give out that it is not nice and when we dont they give out they did not get any . Im sorry but unlike some other buisnesses our overheads have not dropped .

    Regards

In fairness the tables etc were already set up from the main event. What set up costs? I'm not having a go. Maybe there are costs that i wouldnt notice. Wouldnt have killed the hotel to put on something..

Anyway enjoyed the tourney. I would play your events again. GL.

I understandyour query .. we had 38 players at €15 which is €570

    Dealers 5 would average €80 per day = €300 leaving €170

    Floor staff would leave €70

Take down of event is 2 hours x 3 people €60

I have not even added in profit margins of a buisness trying to make money not lose money ..

Its very hard to serve food at low budget events without beeing 100% transparent ..

    Regards

    Neill

rockfish i think you were fishing but you need to know that bigslicks tourneys are a1, there is always cowboys chancing their arm but not this group its a shame for them as they are real workers and should in no way get tared with the same brush as the chancers.,

I have nothing to gain either way have played with them a hand full of times and its easy to see they are trying very hard in these testing times

Think your questions are naf and boring and have no bearing on the game (your poor tummy all hungry and you had to give out)

I dont know what your problem is. I am quite entitled to ask questions on this thread and they have been answered satisfactorily.

I have not or never would accuse Big Slck of being cowboys and am not tarring them with any brush. BTW who are these cowboys you mention? Now get back in your box good lad.
