Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacing light seals on a Canonet GIII easy job?

I was looking at picking up a Canonet Ql17 gii on ebay.
The ones which have had a recent CLA and have had light seals replaced are naturally pricier. I have seen some which look in very good condition and seller says shutter speeds etc. working, however light seals are the original ones. As these invariably need replacing, just wondering is it an easy enough job?

You don't need to worry too much about the light seals, I've two of them, and have put through many a roll of film with no problem with dodgy light seals. As for replacing them, it's easy to do, but it's messy getting the old gunk out. It's just a matter of lining the new seals up after.
