Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to buy Flensburger in Dublin?

    Hey guys.

I'm currently doing a bit of home brewing and I'm looking to get my hands on some swing top bottles. I've been told flensburger is the best value swingtop(?), and not a bad beer.

Where abouts in Dublin, preferably city centre or near Dublin 8 can I get it?

    Any help much appreciated.

You can get a few different varieties in McCabes on Cross avenue.

Ask at the Bull & Castle at Christchurch if they've any empties you can have (Hacker-Pschorr is another quality swingtop they sell). They'll also sell you full bottles to take home, as will DrinkStore on Manor Street and (I think) Carvill's on Camden Street.

Carvill's does indeed stock it though I personally found it to be a lame and plastic beer.

I may have a few empty bottles out the yard with said tops on the; if I do then they are yours, OP :)

The pilsner's a bit yucky, and has that plastic hop-extract taste of lots of German pils. But I think the weizen is solid.

Thanks guys. I'll nip into carvills tomorrow and pick up a few bottles to try the beer anyway.

Cool, where abouts are you based Ham'nd'egger?

A bit out of your way, but Flensburger is 4 for €10 in Deveney's Dundrum.

I'm about a mile from Carvills; will root the bottles out early next week as I'm overdue a clear out :D

It was the Pilsner I tried as it happens; will have a go at the Weizen one of the days.
