Anyone else have this prob with wireless?

    I lock my PC every so often and switch off my monitor, when i switch back on the monitor and log back into PC the Wireless balloon pops up in the bottom right hand corner of my screen beside system time. As is wireless adapter has gone to sleep and reconnected after i login.
    Does this happen to anyone else, or could anyone give advice, please?
    I have no screensaver enabled. No hibernation or power settings, monitor hard disk etc are set to never to switch off.
    I had a look in my wireless adapter settings and dont see any power saving settings.
    The adapter is an Edimax nLite Wireless adapter

    Any help appreciated.

    Is it a USB adapter or an internal card?

    Did you look at the adapter's settings in device manager?
