Hi guys just a quick question about soldering irons.
Is a 25 watt iron ok for Xbox controller modding?
I know that a 15 watt would be better but they had none in Maplin.

    Thanks

In my opinion, its a little too hot. Hold out for a 15w

Well unfortunately my dad bought one by mistake.
Hopefully Maplin will give an exchange.

Does anyone know where to get a 15 watt soldering iron?
I need to get one ASAP.
Cant order online as it would take too long to deliver.

    Thanks

Hardly a waste if he burns a hole in the controller pcb, or lifts a track, or burns an adjacant pcb component.
