Bleek reading for UCD fans (*insert joke about all four of them*). They have some major rebuilding to do.

We've a big asset in Dalyer.

Which I'm assuming that Fingal having signed a year lease deal on the place means you can't do a tap with it for another year. The price is no where near what it was worth and if all bohs fans on here think the same as the ones on gypoweb then you are so wide of the mark its not even funny.

A post up there that was received with rapturous applause was that a developer has agreed to pay the full price of the property as it was valued at the peak of the boom and also build a brand spanking new stadium as part of the deal. Now does anyone seriously think that now in the property collapse and economic disaster this country is in that a developer is going to pay so far over the odds and build you a stadium as a sweetener?

Also if you sell it. How many times will that be now?

Yes. The members section of the forum is buzzing with fresh news tonight.

If Bohs ever do relocate, it has to Blanch/Ongar/Clonsilla etc and try and build there. Anywhere else and you'll wither on the vine.

I'd put money on Fingal ending up owning Dalyer....

Similar to Shels coming into Tolka as tenants of Drums.

Funny saying we're racists when you had a player who was suspended for racist abuse! Enjoy the A-League buddy, Galways A team have signed a load of Brazilians so plenty of players there for your players to abuse

Nowhere to build a suitable stadium around there.

Surely home games are the way to go for finance....

You cant possibly be running home games at a loss...can you?

No idea why it isn't at home tbh. Supposedly we're organising a home game against Longford soon after that.

Just to clear this up that's not necessarily my opinion, I copied and pasted that from somewhere else.

Seen them before, and they are decent live alright.

Still though, Brush Shiels takes the whole shine off the night imo, he just isn't funny - ever listened to (un)funny Friday on Liveline? Cringeworthy stuff for the most part.

Is Johnny Logan playing the interval?

There will be plenty of love around Dalymount when we play our first game there on the 14th of feb :)

    To Bohs fans,
Hope it works out well for Bohemian Fc.

there's plenty of land up around Ballycoolin, between Finglas and Blanch just after Cappagh Hospital actually, even up around the National Aquatic Centre/Abbotstown (although that might be a little too close to HQ for the Bohs acountants :pac:)

There is definitely land up around here alright.:)

Speaking of land to build a stadium on, how are SFs plans coming along?

Ardal O'Hanlon? That TBA soon bar is transparant.

Nice line-up though, any truth to the rumour there'll be a public stoning of Shelley in Dublin Castle afterwards?

He is right though, How can Bohs seriously try and sign players when they say they dont have money to pay those that they already have ?

Any player that signs for Bohs now has no sympathy if Bohs fail to pay them during the season and the FAI should be allowed to look at any contract bohs are offering this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,252 ✭✭✭✭stovelid

    Expected nothing less.

How some of the morons on gypoweb and fool.ie can actually say that the FAI favour Rovers is laughable.

Basically a rubber-stamping of the policy of hedging bets on trophy money.

As someone posted elsehwere cant be relegated or deprived euro licence as it would diminish possible prizemoney.

pretty much true, for the FAI to get their money back they would have to allow bohs play in europe.

Possible solution to the wages problem today as reported on RTE news.

Ongoing talks between the PFAI and the club.

Absolute jokeshop. FAI bending over backwards and breaking all their own rules to save Bohs and the, as Pete Mahon says, they're STILL trying to sign new players.

Fenlons not gonna sit there twiddling his thumbs during this, if we're gonna be playing football next season we're gonna need players, so he may as well try and suss out any experienced heads he can get.

But Mahon is right to say its innapropriate of you to be lining up new players when you owe money to the ones you already have. And no more than a bit presumptious.
