    Anything for students?

Nothing from our end, FAI dictating everything so unlikely there is any. I have to sell 4 extra kilos of crack cocaine to get my ticket.

Not for the first time. Bohs best player was Crowe.

Thought we where the best team for the first 35 or so and then it all fell apart with two quick goals from Bohs. We huffed and puffed second half but bohs just kept everything tight and hit us on the break. We created feck all second half and therefore deserved nothing from the game.

Great away crowd from Bohs and a better home crowd from us compared to recent games.

Was not happy heading home:( Are Bohs our bogey team:)

I hope the Bohs lads remember BurgerGate.

Be vigilant and don't be swayed. Even by the excellent jumbo battered sausages under the East Stand.

    Just say no!

I wonder will this sellout. I would be dissappointed if we didn't sell 2,700 tickets

Funnily enough, Murphy's reputation at Rovers was built on coming for crosses and claiming every one. Great advantage it was for the aerial assaults of the FD..

Could be handy choice of venue for Pats..Bohs don't like Tallaght:pac:

Murphy has 3 clean sheets to his name now, dont think O'Connor has any, Murphys distribution is also far better.

Hope Anto Murphy keeps that form up, probably the best performance from a Bohs player this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

Murphy's distribution was **** against Fingal and where could O'Connor realisticaly of kept a clean sheet

And despite 3 straight defeats winning our game in hand against Bray would put us ahead of Rovers

Good to get some points on the table though. 3 clean sheets in a row is great.

Anybody see Greene's woeful touch that went into the stand and knocked the tray of chips out of the little kids hand.

Some nice publicity for a change

    http://www.bohemians.ie/club/community/671-bohemians-donate-prizes-to-childrens-hospital.html
Bohemians donate prizes to Children's Hospital

Bohemian Football Club has presented to Temple Street Children’s Hospital three televisions, three games consoles and five games packages that were given to the club as winners of the EA Sports Cup.
Club captain Owen Heary and fellow-defender Steven Gray handed over the donation at Temple Street last weekend.

Caroline Flynn, senior play specialist at the hospital, described the donation as “brilliant” and said it would make the visit to hospital “an awful lot easier for the children”. “One of the TVs will go to our A&E waiting area so the children will be able to watch DVDs while they are waiting to be seen by the doctor. The two other TVs are going to our new respiratory outpatient unit, so the children can play on Wii, the Playstation and the Xbox while they’re in the waiting areas, waiting for the doctor,” said Ms Flynn. “Any donations we get make the hospital a nicer place for the child and it distracts them while they are waiting to see doctors and nurses or get treatments, so it’s brilliant to have donations such as this,” Ms Flynn added.

The Bohemians players were on hand with the club's current trophies and Owen Heary was delighted with response they had. “It's great when you come to Temple Street Hospital and you see the pleasure the kids get out of us bringing the trophies down, but also from the equipment that EA Sports have given us and which we have donated to Temple Street,” he said. “It’s great for the kids, it’ll kill time for them and they’ll get pleasure out of playing them and you know sometimes it might help them as well along the line.”

Steven Gray also noted the pleasure the children took from the players’ presence and from the gifts. “It’s great to come down and see them and see a smile on their face. It puts a lot of things in perspective coming down here and seeing the kids and putting a smile on their face for a few minutes,” he said.

To underline the relations between the northside club and the northside hospital, Caroline Flynn declared: “Bohs are the best team in Ireland and Temple Street are right behind them!”

The donation comprises three 33-inch plasma screen TVs, a PlayStation 3, an Xbox 360, a Nintendo Wii and five EA Sports games.

Topic has been dead for a while, time to get the ball rolling again after the mid-season break. Big game this friday against Sligo, our defence will have league top scorer Padraig Amond to deal with.

    My starting XI:

We could also leave it as the same as Tuesday night with an eye on keeping a settled team going into the second leg of the champions league.

Wouldn't change much tbh, need to keep a fairly consistent side going, we're just starting to click.

    For Sligo:

    Baz

    Shelley - Oman - McGuinness - Powell

    Mcglynn - Higgins - Keegan - Quigley

    Byrne - Cretaro

Paddy needs a rest I think, runs his bollix off every match, great to see. Heary will probably still start, he has looked good in recent games in his defence (and ours :))

I reckon we'll (rovers) start with the same as the team vs UCD:

    Brush
    Keane----Peers----Laughlin----Davoren
    Ryan
    Doyle
    Russell
    Dillon
    N'do
    Amond

Though Cook doesn't like dropping Danny Ventre so he could start, in which case I can't see past three points for yourselves. If Danny doesn't play it'll be a close game with a draw seeming the most likely outcome, though either team is capable of nicking it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭frantic190

I'd say this will be a very tight match, Sligo play good football, either side could shave it 1 nil.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,288 ✭✭✭✭ntlbell

    why is everyone dropping Owen?

    for TNS?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭frantic190

I just feel we need his experience in the champions league, and if he plays a lot on Friday he may not be able to play as much on Tuesday. But I suppose we need to be careful of chopping and changing the side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

McGuinness and Oman have to be starting centre halves when fit. Heary was amazing on Tuesday but doesnt have 2 games a week in him anymore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭frantic190

Congratulations to Paddy for getting POTM:

Should be a good game against Sligo on Friday.

The 2 teams have served up some crackers in recent meetings.

Potential opponents if we beat TNS.

    Anderlecht
    Copenhagen
    Winner of Salzburg v HB
    Winner of Rosenborg v Linfield
    Winner of Partizan v Pyunik

Anderlecht, Copenhagen would be very difficult, as both teams are regular Champions League group stage performers.

Salzburg are no doubt an even stronger team than last season with their success in the Europa League last season.

Rosenburg and Partizan are Bohs best bet to be competitive against IMO.

ive said this already on another forum anderlecht are no great shakes nothing compared to what they were.bate borisov beat them 2 year ago at this stage and eventually qualified for the group stages. id be more worried about playing partizan than playing them.

Anderlecht would lose 10-0 away from home to Monaghan and win 30-0 at home.

They got to the quarterfinals of the Europa League last season beaten by Hamburg didn't they..beating Bilbao on the way..

Yeah we got Anderlecht, good trip, tough team.

Nutsy looking to strengthen the squad:
    http://extratime.ie/newsdesk/articles/3883/
Fenlon is looking at ex-Saint Patrick's Athletic player Gary Dempsey, who has been training with the squad and is also closing in on an unnamed Spanish player, amongst others

That's a strange one, surely the Airtricity League is of higher quality than the Welsh?
