A while back the idea was put to me for a picture thread given that a good number of boardsies attend league games with high quality camera equipment.

So here's a thread for those pics and discussion on them.

Well the one on the left I presume is to do with Chris Turner taking the money.

The middle one is a reference to Rovers not as perfect as they proclain themselves to be since the fans took over. Like the mafia going into legitimate business.

Nice effort btw from the Rovers fans.

Fair play to them for making the effort. Unfortunately their quaint attempts at building some kind of rivalry with rovers seems somewhat unrequited.

The green of that fatigue jacket on the 70s IRA terrorist-looking guy with the balaclava is all wrong. A more vibrant racing green would have given far more of a WOW factor for me personally.

So we can either believe that an attempt was made to register Turner on incorrect standardised contracts and they were rejected by the FAI, he was then asked to take a paycut, which he refused to do, thus rendering the contract null and void and then approached Rovers to see was the deal we offered still on the table at which point we registered him and his contract properly.

Or O'Neill is a thief. Rovers are the mafia. The durty dubs are out to get us etc etc etc.

Its a great deal easier to blame us for your woes then criticise the clowns running your club into the ground, innit!

As has been said before, we are bemused by this little outpouring of angst from our harmless country cousins. And trust me, that is exactly how you are viewed.

First time down in Sligo for the match and I never realised how petty and smalltime the mindset of some of their supporters is. From talking to them in the pub before hand to the 'display', they seem pretty obessed and desperate to be our rivals. Thing is, there not even a blip on the radar for most Rovers fans.

If 'no one cares' (sic) what Rovers fans think, why waste your time and effort with your crayons?

You are trying to create a victimhood complex that big bad Rovers came and stole your best player, rather than deal with the reality that your club cannot organise a piss up in a brewery and thats why he was able to stroll from a voided contract and you paid him cash off the books you won't see again.

Like we have all said, that says a great deal more about your small time mentality than Turner or Rovers.

Having Sligo Rangers or whoever they are make banners about you and constantly obsessing on foot.ie is like having some little kid following you around the school playground acting tough and trying to look cool. Its just embarrassing.
