Thread is closed for now. We have some things to discuss. Stay tuned for more.

Um, I think this might explain why the thread was closed.

Not really an explanation. That post seems rather abrupt and while it may be possible that the moderator wasn't able to go into more detail, in truth he/she probably wasn't bothered.

Instead of just saying "things" how about

    • Legal issues.
    • The number of reported post.
    • The taste and decency of the thread.
    • Request by the general public to close down thread.
    • Bullying.
I dunno, the (or lack there of) response seems to indicate attitude more akin to thread ownership, nei?

It's the explanation you are being given, deal with it.

This is a privately owned website, if you do not like the way things are done, I am sure you know what options are available to you.

IMO The mod's just telling people that the moderators aren't ignoring the thread. They're sorting it out. That seems reasonable to me given the subject matter.

Yea, maybe I'll drop by that new Irish poker site. It wasn't an explaination, it was more akin to what dr.bollocko describes.

No Boston, don't go! What would we ever do without you to keep us on the straight and narrow, to steer us away from the oblivion we're now becalmed in and into the success story we can only become with your benevolent and wise guidance? We're doomed! Doomed I tell you...

You're dead right it wasn't an explanation. It was me telling you/everyone that the thread was locked because we were discussing things contained in the thread.

If the thread remains closed or is re opened there will be an explanation given.

If he has the right to demand reasons then I have the right to demand a samwich. . . to be made by a mod!

    The samwich must comtain ;

    - Cheese (gouda or edam)
    - Salami
    - Chicken tikka
    - Coleslaw
    - Red onion
    - Things.

If you do not make me my samwich I will leave this site to get it elsewhere! And you will be so sad that I have left!

Someone's taking the word "Feedback" a bit too literally!
