bus Eireann and New road at Sheaf of Wheat

I'm just wondering, why does the bus go up the old road and tun around at the old bus stop at the sheaf of wheat. its so annoying as most of the time there is no one there and the bus does a massive U turn. I think a new bus stop should be put up, its can't continue doing that indefinitely??

the diversion is only there until mid april, then i can only assume its going to go back the old route
