Is it legal to buy Kerosene in the North?

Just wondering if it is legal to go up North with a trailer with a plastic tank on it, fill up with kerosene and drive back down south?

Would save about 150 euro per 1000 litres but don't want to do it if its illegal.

    Thanks

There is a " Oil Man " that delivers it too your door , so technically your just buying oil at a cheaper price off him.

Why is it illegal ? I can only see one reason and that's the lack of a proper transport container and the lack of a proper driving licence to transport oil. ( haz chem qualification needed )

you only need a haz chem licence when its over 1500 litres

Its probably OK if you bring your receipt to the Revenue office in Dundalk and pay the excise and duty and vat. Then there's no problem.

Not too sure if it would work out cheaper after all that though.
