Has any Mature student thought about the pro's and cons of BETA v Maintanance Grant?
    -So both give you fees,
BTEA give you €196 per week for 9 months = €7056 + €500 (Cost of Education allowance)
    - Maintanance Grant gives you €6,500
But with M.G. can you work? (if your course gives you enough time?)
But with BTEA you can't work, cuz your essentisally on the dole?
    What do Mature Students think?
    Whats the better option?
To get a grant and be able to work? or, to get BTEA?

you can earn up to 60euro if you r getting the btea. is this to do with next year and which one will you choose. im in the same dilemma. think i mite stick wit d btea. although there is a chance that people who were gettin the btea and the maintenance grant in 2009/2010 to still get it until they finish college.
