Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

Bought this dress for my boyfriends 30th birthday on Saturday. Wanted to get something more fancy but couldnt find a thing!
What would you wear with this to glam it up a bit? would you put a thin waist belt with it? shoes?boots?

    Thanks all :)

Shoes, maybe in a colour to brighten it up and a bracelet. With all the detail on the top of the dress I wouldn't over do it.

I wouldn't put a belt on it to be honest. It looks fitted enough from the pic plus there's enough detail on the neckline without adding a belt.

Perhaps a diamond chocker/necklace with a 'trailing' back, to fill in the open back of the dress.

Also, with this dress, you will have to have a light tan, not a heavy tango orange, but a delicate tan.

Respectfully disagree. IME you never "have" to have a tan, and some people (like redheads- me, for example :p) look silly with a fake one.

Black works with any skin tone, also I agree that you don't need a belt!

I shall have a nice tan on, as i look ill without it when i got out! :)

Thanks guys...when you say bright shoes what colour would you think best? was thinking red maybe with red lips?

Fab dress and if you have the body go for it (how i envy you) bright shoes and add a bracelet, earrings and bag.

Could go for red shoes or roylal blue would be nice too.
Id put pink shoes with it but thats me :P

As for jewellery-- id go for a nice bracelet and in same colour as the shoes to break the black-- I wouldn wear anything around my neck as it comes up very high.

You could drape something in the gap at the back but personally I would leave it as is-- the bright colour you will use to break it up will be fine.

yep, red shoes with the red lips would be nice and id wear black tights, might look a bit tartie otherwise. Id keep accessories low key coz teh dress is a statement in itself.
