The Galway player(8) got a second yellow for diving and I think there was contact, what do you think!

Hard to tell from that angle plus only foreigners dive(foreigners meaning anyone whos not from the British isles).

from the pic, while it looks like there could be contact, it seems clear that he is on the way down before the contact is made. I dunno. it is a grey area for me. there is no rule stating the attacking player has to try to avoid a challenge.

How on earth can you tell if a player is diving or not form a still picture?

Impossible to tell from that picture. There were a few instances of diving though last weekend in the LOI. It needs to stamped out now.
