Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On a serious and more thread related note....My prediction for tonight:Arsenal 1-1 Porto,I cant see Arsenal creating too much without Fabregas and Porto are always good for a goal!:)

Anyway, just to steer the thread a bit, I'm hoping for a win tonight. Only reason I'd be worried about extra time would be with Fabregas on, so I just hope they get through whether 90 or 120 minutes or penalties. :)

Is Bendtner on? If so I predict some miraculous goalline clearances by him. :P

Did anyone mention that Arsenal have not overturned an away first leg loss in Europe since 1978?

Arsenal should be good for a goal at the very least. Porto are a good technical side, but they are 'front loaded', most of their talent is in the final third so Bendtner, Rosicky and Walcott should be able to get at them and cause problems. Actually this is a game made for Bendtner imo, Porto will play conservatively and will stand off, giving plenty of room for Walcott and Rosicky to whip the ball across the box.

I just hope we can stop Porto from scoring. They are still a very big threat on the counter. Big big night from Clichy and Sagna needed, we need their attacking width, but we can't afford them to leave too much space behind them.

It's been mentioned, I'd like to see a stat of howmany times we've FAILED to over turn it however. As we never usually had an error prone keeper to put us in that position in the first place.

How often does it generally happen?

Arsenal: Almunia; Sagna, Campbell, Vermaelen, Clichy; Nasri, Song, Diaby; Rosicky, Bendtner, Arshavin.

Porto: Helton; Fucile, Rolando, Bruno Alves, Alvaro Pereira; Ruben Michael, Nuno Coelho, Raul Meireles; Varela, Falcao, Hulk

No Walcott, interesting move. Glad to see the more experienced heads of Arshavin and Rosicky on the field though.

Arsenal to go through imo. Hope they dont tho

Very suprised not to see Walcott starting after how well he did on Saturday.

Kinda happier though as Arshavin and Rosicky are more experienced and it means we can spring Theo on them for the last twenty minutes by which stage they'll hopefully be knackered.

It'll be a much more technical and congested game than Burnley anyway, there wont be half as much opportunity to exploit Walcott's pace so I'm not concerned, and there's still pace up there from Arshavin so we should be all right.

    Neither am I. Just suprised.

Hopefully we can find our rhythm nice and early and get Porto on the back foot.

Did Tony Cascarino just compare Bendtner to Ibrahimovc?

I mean there's having faith and then there's having faith...

Keown going for the 2-1... have to say I think that's probably the best bet.

bentner to miss 15 chances then score the winner by the ball hitting the back of his head and to do a "cant here you now" celebration to the fans

    I love Eboue.

Sagna takes one bad challenge and he's out warming up like a madman.
