National Gallery to Kilmainham Gaol

    I have to take an Italian school group of about 40 kids into the national gallery and then on to Kilmainham Gaol tomorrow. I haven't been to either for a good 10 years, possibly longer, so am a little unsure on what the best way is.

    I'm going to get the DART in, get off at Pearse and then walk up to the National Gallery on Merrion Square, but what would be the best way of getting to the Gaol from the Gallery?

    Carlop: Hope you made it out to Kilmainham okay.
    The best way would have been to walk to Aston Quay (near O'Connell Bridge) from the National Gallery and hop on a 79.
